When it comes to pairing food with drinks, Real Kombucha is as real as it gets. And that’s exactly what founding father David Begg had in mind when he set out to brew this alcohol free drink. The goal was to create a worthy alternative for people who didn’t want to drink wine or beer, but still wanted something that could be matched to different dishes. When a friend offered him a richly flavoured Oolong kombucha, he knew he was on to something. One tea expert, a nutrition innovator and about 150 tea tests later, Real Kombucha was born.
Real Dry Dragon
Dry Dragon uses Dragonwell Green Tea from the Zheijang province in China as its base. Young leaves are baked briefly in a hot pan to halt the oxidation process and unleash a unique flavour. Contrary to Japanese green tea, Dragonwell doesn’t have a grassy taste, but ends up with a complex palette of fresh citrus.

The royal flush is the highest attainable hand in a poker game. But no risks were taken when creating this drink to assure the best possible combination. This Real Kombucha is brewed using First Flush Darjeeling, better known in India as the “Queen of teas”. The young leaves, picked and dried during springtime, make for a delicate character that can also be tasted in the Real Kombucha Royal Flush.
